Update on House and Garden Sampler
The last time I showed a photo here of my House and Garden Sampler, this is how it looked:
I have been working on it a little bit these past few weeks, so here's how it looks today:
I haven't added many garden designs, but I will later on. For now I want to concentrate on getting the houses done, and I'll add other features later on when those are completed.
Here's a few more photos of the progress so far:
A close-up of the tudor house, which is a type of house design that I have always loved. Now I get to have one of my own!
I'm not too thrilled with how the colors look so far, and I need to get some richer looking colors in here. Any ideas on those?
Please give me your suggestions on what sort of garden elements you think would look nice added to the sampler. I'm not very well versed with what's 'out there', but I know a lot of you are very much in the know!
Thanks for looking,
Sue

Hi, I love seeing your progress. I'd have to add a saltbox, that's my favorite. I actually like the colors of your Tudor house. Are you planning to add lots of trees and birds?

I don't have any suggestions on garden elements to add, but I think you're making great progress right now!

Well yesterday my comment wouldn't post, so I'm trying today.
I really like your sampler. House samplers are favorites of mine, so I'll be interested in how this develops!

Love seeing how your sampler is coming along stitch by stitch. I need to do some cross-stitching again.

It's looking great, nice progress. As for garden elements, I like little animals mixed in with the flowers and greenery, like rabbits, squirrels, or cats, plus some more birds. The Little House Needleworks designs have a lot with that style.

Your neighborhood is looking wonderful! Your garden elements so far are perfect. Do you have a good motif resource book like Brenda Keyes' "Alphabets, Motifs & Borders"? I find that one very helpful.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions for the garden elements. I will check out those resources.
