New Visitor

We have a new visitor in our backyard:

Mystery Bird on Feeder

What kind of bird is this?

It just showed up on Monday, and I think it's a yellow parakeet. I've seen him back each day since then.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

On the stitching front, there is no progress on anything. I haven't stitched in about a month. Someday soon.

Thanks for visiting here!

    Maybe it is someone's pet that escaped!

    I wonder to whom he belongs? How fun that he comes to visit you.

    We had a blue parakeet that showed up in my mother's yard when I was still single and living at home. I went outside with a dish towel, slowly went up to the bird, and gently picked him up in the towel. He must have been someone's pet because he didn't try to fly away. We bought a cage and all the things you need for a parakeet, and we had him for at least 5 years or so! He would have died once the New York winter came if we didn't catch him.

    I used to live in an old orange grove and we had many parakeets living in the trees. Definitely escapees. This one obviously knew which yard to visit!

    Such a pretty bird!

    I'm glad I found your blog! Mine has been mostly about papercrafting, when it has been crafting at all lately, but I'm now building my collection of stitching blogs.

    Your needlework collection as seen here is impressive!

    Reminds me of my blue parakeet, Piko, who zipped out of his cage while getting his food dish filled. I had neglected to clip his wings that spring and the cage was hanging in the shady back porch. He hung around out of reach for a couple of days, and then I never saw him again... *sniffle*
