Eddie the Dog

I want to share a picture of our dog Eddie. I adore this pic! My husband took it several weeks ago as Eddie lounged in his kiddie pool. I love the way the shrubs are lit behind him, and I love the sweet look in his eyes. Okay, I know I'm a bit 'over the top' since I'm talking about a dog but please allow me that. Just a short while ago he was racing in a track in Mexico, and now he sits in a kiddie pool enjoying a Sunday afternoon. Retirement sure looks good for him, doesn't it?

I did find time to stitch on Sunday. I decided that Sunday would be my official day to stitch, and that no matter how much I have on my plate I will find some time to stitch. I'm nearing completion on that stocking, and I hope to finish it within two weeks.

I've already lost my voice, and it's early in the year. Any advice?

Bound and Determined!

Here's tonight's photos of some sections of my BHG stocking. There's also one of the entire stocking. It's coming along, with mainly just backstitching left. I'm bound and determined to finish it in time for finishing by Christmas.

My original plan was to stitch up four of these BHG stockings with one for DH, our 2 children, and me. I have one done, and this one is close to being done. At this point I may change my plan and stitch up two more that aren't so time consuming. I started this one almost THREE YEARS ago, and at this rate I won't have two more done for six more years. Does anyone have any suggestions for a different stocking pattern or two? I'd rather dislike giving up on my goal of stitching four of these, but I just don't know if I can do it! Have you ever been in this sort of stitching quandry? Decisions, decisions...
